New Europe's largest solar complex in Seville

Solnova Solar Power Station is a concentrating solar plant, located within Europe's largest solar complex. Owned by Abengoa Solar, the complex is in Solúcar la Mayor near Seville, Spain. It was built in 5 stages which 3 of them became operational in 2010, while the remaining are in the development stage.


From an environmental point of view, this power station aims to be more sustainable serving 153,000 households with an annual CO2 emission cut of 185,000t for a total installed capacity of 300MW. Its land cover is approx. 1,000ha and will cost an estimated €1.2billion.
